Daily public access resumes at Naval Air Station Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) – Daily public visitation to areas of public interest at Naval Air Station Pensacola (NAS Pensacola) — including the National Naval Aviation Museum and the Pensacola Lighthouse — resumed Friday, officials announced.

Visitors are reminded to use the installation’s West Gate at the south end of Blue Angel Parkway. The gate will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Areas of public interest on the air station include the Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, Fort Barrancas and the National Naval Aviation Museum. Other areas on NAS Pensacola can only be accessed by individuals with a Department of War identification card, officials said.

The National Naval Aviation Museum flightline is the only authorized area on board the station for Blue Angels practice flights…
