Pensacola Chief talks ‘chaotic’ Cordova Mall takeover that led to arrests, early closure

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Pensacola Police says multiple arrests were made in a “takeover event” of Cordova Mall on Saturday that attracted 400-500 “young people” and resulted in the mall closing early.

Police Chief Eric Winstrom spoke with WEAR News on Monday about the event. He said his department was aware of a potential takeover event at the mall due to social media flyers circulating last week.
