ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — An online platform used by thousands of universities and school districts has become victim of a cyberattack.
For many students, Canvas is the center of school — you can take tests, study, and do your homework. That platform went dark for a short period this week.
“Earlier this week we received notification of the breach that occurred, and then our tenant was taken offline yesterday around 3:30 p.m.,” Steve Whiting, Pensacola State executive director of technology operations, said. “We regained that last night about 9:30 p.m., and it is currently operational for our faculty and students.”…
