32 dogs rescued from animal hoarding situation in Florida

FLORIDA — Thirty-two dogs have been rescued from an animal hoarding situation in Escambia County, Florida, according to county officials.

According to Escambia County Animal Welfare, officers identified that an individual was struggling to properly care for the dogs after falling on hard times.

Animal welfare officers and shelter staff developed a plan to safely remove and care for the animals. Officials said the dogs had not received veterinary care for some time, so they were not immediately brought to the county shelter in order to avoid exposing other animals to possible illnesses…
