For families choosing where to plant roots on the Main Line, school district quality is often the first conversation. The latest statewide rankings give them one more reason to feel good about that decision, writes The Philadelphia Business Journal.
Lower Merion School District has climbed to No. 2 in Pennsylvania. The district moved up from No. 3 last year. It trails only Fox Chapel Area School District in Allegheny County in a field of 500 school districts.
The methodology behind the rankings is rigorous. More than 250 data points were drawn from Pennsylvania System of School Assessment exams and Keystone Exams spanning 2023 through 2025. They measured student performance across math, reading, science, algebra, literature, and biology…
