PHILADELPHIA, PA — Drivers in Northeast Philadelphia should prepare for periodic traffic slowdowns beginning next week as overhead bridge construction associated with the I-95 improvement project affects several local roadways.

According to PennDOT, periodic weekday lane closures with flagging operations may occur from Wednesday, June 17, through Friday, June 26, at several locations beneath and adjacent to the Interstate 95 corridor.
The affected roadways include Venango Street between Bath Street and East Allen Street; Castor Avenue between Richmond Street and the I-95 North on-ramp; Richmond Street between Wheatsheaf Lane and East Butler Street; and Wheatsheaf Lane between Richmond Street and East Thompson Street.
