Demolition began last week on Bellmawr’s former Little League Hall on Essex Avenue, bringing down a building that had served generations of local families but had ultimately deteriorated beyond repair despite years of maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
I visited on Father’s Day morning, and it’s a sad yet necessary outcome for a building that saw thousands of Fathers and their children grow and bond together over America’s past time.
Rest assured, baseball and “catches” between parents and kids are still thriving in Bellmawr…
