Traffic slowed on I-76 after woman struck while walking on roadway, police say

A woman was struck by a vehicle in an incident that was causing traffic slowdowns along I-76 in Center City Philly on Thursday morning.

According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, a lane restriction was in place along I-76 eastbound after a woman was struck along the roadway at about 1:30 a.m., between the exits from Market Street and Haverford Avenue and Spring Garden Street.
