GLASSBORO — A Palmyra woman has been charged with inciting a public brawl after organizing a pop-up party near Rowan University in May.
Palmyra woman charged after Rowan University pop-up party turns chaotic
On May 1, just after 11 p.m., Glassboro police and members of the fire department responded to a party at 500 Whitney Ave. that created loud noise, parking issues, gridlock traffic and drivers driving recklessly throughout the neighborhood on Rowand Boulevard.
As the party was dispersed, the attendees went to another neighborhood, which prompted 13 calls to police and the closure of Rowan Boulevard.
Hundreds of partygoers were invited
An investigation revealed that the party had been advertised on social media and the organizer was identified as Meadow Carstarphen, 21, of Palmyra.

Police say Carstarphen sold over 300 tickets for the unauthorized party that resulted in chaos.
She was charged on a summons with inciting a public brawl and is pending a court date. If convicted, Carstarphen faces up to 18 months in prison, and up to a $10,000 fine.
