A husband-and-wife team of boating industry entrepreneurs wants to transform a six-acre waterfront lot near the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge into a $40 million marina and entertainment complex they say could be open by the summer of 2026.
The project, called One River Marina, would replace what is now a parking lot, boat storage area and the Quaker City Yacht Club’s clubhouse with a full-service marina, restaurants, a pool, a parking garage and new headquarters for the yacht club. Developers Dana and Ron Russikoff, founders of Rodan Enterprises LLC, are pitching the site as a destination for boaters on the Delaware River and a gateway to the Tacony and Mayfair neighborhoods.
Retractable-shade founders pivot to waterfront development
The Russikoffs previously founded SureShade, a retractable sunshade product line for boats, which they sold in 2019. Dana Russikoff told Delaware Currents the couple acquired the land where the yacht club sits and drew on 30 years of boating experience to envision the project.
