Philly man facing 2 years in prison after robbing convenience store with gun

A Philadelphia man will spend two years in prison after robbing a convenience store at gunpoint in 2024, according to the Department of Justice.

On Oct. 6, 2024, Larry Dempsey, now 53, went into a convenience store on the 2600 block of North 27th Street in North Philadelphia armed with a gun.

While inside the store, Dempsey chased the worker out of the store before taking cash out of the register and firing his gun two times…
