PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — If Philadelphia sports are on television, there’s a good chance Mary Ann Leary, a family practice physician from Pottstown , is probably watching — even if it means taking control of the TV from her husband.
While she’s a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, her husband is a Boston fan from Massachusetts. And fittingly, her daughter recently got married to a Chiefs and Royals fan from the Midwest. There are certainly fun rivalries within this family.
But it’s all in good fun. It’s part of Leary sharing a decades-long fandom with her kids as she hopes her beloved teams pull off rare championship feats.
