Summer Job Tip: Stay Ready

1. Keep your resume updated in Word, PDF, or Google Docs, and a printed copy
2. Create a general cover letter
3. Make sure you have a professional voicemail greeting
4. Have an interview outfit clean, pressed, and ready to go
5. Prepare, and practice for phone, Zoom, and in-person interviews – these are standard interviewing practices
6. 1. Create or find a quiet dedicated space for Zoom interviews, blur or upload a professional background
   2. Check your tech: download the app the day before, and test it for glitches
   3. Review your resume and practice common interview questions like: What are your strengths and weaknesses? Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
