A 28-year-old man died Monday afternoon after his dirt bike and a car collided in Wilmington, police said.
The wreck occurred about 3:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of Jessup St., police said. There, officers found Zyair Carter badly hurt.
Carter was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
Police have not said how the crash occurred or what kind of vehicle was involved. The department said the driver remained on scene after the wreck.

Two occupants in the car suffered “minor injuries,” police said.
