A Philadelphia police officer has tragically passed away almost three months after being shot in the neck during a routine vehicle stop.
Officer Jaime Roman spent 80 gruelling days in intensive care without ever regaining consciousness . The 31-year-old sadly died on Tuesday night. Roman leaves behind a grieving wife, a daughter, aged seven, and a son, aged four.
Roman had been in the department for nearly seven years. Police Commissioner Kevin J. Bethel said: “It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of Officer Jaime Roman, a dedicated and courageous member of our department .
