Man stabbed near Mifflin Square Park during robbery, police say

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are looking for a man who stabbed another man during a robbery early Thursday morning in South Philadelphia.

It happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. at Sixth and Wolf streets, near Mifflin Square Park.

Police said a 61-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

His attacker took off with the victim’s bicycle. Police said the suspect is believed to be a man in his 30s. He was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans.
