Jefferson Abington Hospital is the source of more than two dozen lawsuits in Philadelphia since the beginning of 2023, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. According to the story, a recent legal change has prompted more than a dozen medical malpractice lawsuits from incidents that took place as far away as Scranton and York to be filed in Philadelphia court every month due to the city’s history of multimillion dollar verdicts.
