Update: Suspect who police say shot at Bristol Township assistance building apprehended

Bristol Township police have apprehended a 37-year-old Bristol woman who allegedly fired a gun at the Bucks County Assistance Office on Wednesday morning.

Falls Township police apprehended April Lynnette Campbell Precha Thursday morning, according to Bristol Township Sgt. Jason Mancuso. No additional information was immediately available.

Precha is expected to be arraigned later Thursday on four felonies including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, other firearms violations and related misdemeanors and a summary offense.

Officers responded to the county office in the 1200 block of Veterans Highway shortly after 9 a.m. for a report of a disorderly person. When police arrived they found a shattered window, but no one inside the building reported being injured, according to a police press release.

A preliminary investigation found Precha was suspected of firing several shots at the building, shattering a window before running from the scene, police said.
