Politics can seem everywhere right now.
That includes in this education roundup, as Delaware advocates look to inspire young voters in the Wilmington area to get informed and get registered ahead of the general election. That’s now about one month away.
And over in Newark, much younger learners at the Brennen School are celebrating new renovations. In this weekly roundup, we’ll catch you up on these and other education updates you may have missed.
Chasing ‘The Young Vote’
This Monday evening, The Teen Warehouse will host a free political event for young people in its Wilmington area and beyond. The goal? Chasing Delaware’s youngest voters with education and registration ahead of the presidential election.
The Warehouse will screen “The Young Vote,” a documentary film written by Diane Robinson.
The award-winning film “takes you street-level alongside young passionate activists from California, Florida, Kentucky and Texas as they challenge barriers to civic participation so their voices and the voices of their peers will be heard,” according to its website. It’s a 67-minute story of civic power and shaping the future of the country.
