In a push to address the persistent problem of illegal dumping in Philadelphia, a new initiative is launching as part of Mayor Parker’s One Philly, United City Cleaning campaign. Starting December 2, 2024, some city residents can expect their trash to be collected twice a week, and phase two of the project is planned to roll out in fall 2025. This program is a joint effort by the Office of Clean and Green Initiatives and the Department of Sanitation, geared towards keeping the streets clean and reducing waste-related infractions.
