NORRISTOWN — A judge sent the leader of a multi-county gun and drug trafficking network to prison for at least two decades, determining he “put the public’s safety at risk” with his dangerous activities.
“You ran the criminal enterprise. In this case, you were the head of the organization. Most of the guns are in the hands of dangerous criminals. Your conduct has put the public’s safety at risk,” Montgomery County Judge Wendy G. Rothstein addressed Scott Michael Grondin as she sentenced him to 20 to 40 years in a state correctional facility. “There needs to be consequences for actions. That’s part of the rehabilitation process.”
Testimony revealed Grondin’s corrupt organization was responsible for moving or attempting to move 17 firearms into the stream of illegal criminal activity and only seven of the firearms have been recovered…
