N.J. firefighters rescue baby turkeys trapped in storm drain

Gloucester City firefighters responded Saturday to an animal rescue call, but it wasn’t for a cat stuck in a tree.

The rescue call was for some baby turkeys trapped in a storm drain.

Firefighters from Battalion 5 & Squad 5 were dispatched to Lambert Avenue to bring several little turkeys to safety, according to a social media post by the Gloucester City Fire Department.

Residents reported that they could hear what sounded like ducks in the drain, so they called firefighters…
