Woman shot inside Philadelphia club, One dead and another injured in overnight violence

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A series of violent incidents early Sunday left one man dead and two others injured across three Philadelphia police districts, prompting separate investigations by homicide and district detectives.

In the 9th District, officers responded to a shooting on the 200 block of South Camac Street. An adult male victim was found with a gunshot wound and was transported by police to Jefferson Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:20 a.m., authorities said. The Homicide Unit is actively investigating and has not released any suspect information or motive.

Earlier, in the 35th District, a stabbing occurred around 4:03 a.m. on the 5200 block of Rising Sun Avenue. Police transported an adult male with a stab wound to Einstein Medical Center, where he remains under treatment.
