District Council 33 union leaders walk out of negotiations with City of Philadelphia

Leaders of District Council 33, the city’s largest blue-collar union, walked out of negotiations Monday with just hours to go before a strike deadline.

DC 33 President Greg Boulware told Action News that the city isn’t coming anywhere close to the wage increases the union wants.

Workers are prepared to walk off the job without pay when their contract expires at midnight unless the city calls them back today with an offer they’re willing to accept…
