DOJ: Pennsylvania man gets 25 years for 19 armed robberies

(WHTM) — A Pennsylvania man who carried out 19 armed robberies was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years and 19 days in prison, the Department of Justice said.

The DOJ says 39-year-old Anthony Randall, of Philadelphia, will also have to spend five years of supervised release for armed robbery and gun offenses.

Randall carried out the robberies just months after he was released from federal prison in March 2021 for six other armed robberies in 2006, prosecutors say.

“Anthony Randall terrorized the community during his extreme armed robbery spree — all while on supervised release for his previous string of gunpoint crimes,” U.S. Attorney David Metcalf said. “Prosecuting committed offenders like this is a priority for my office. We’ll continue to get violent criminals off the street and make Philadelphia safer.”…
