Shots rang out early Tuesday on the 5300 block of Ludlow Street in West Philadelphia when three armed intruders forced their way into a modest rowhome and exchanged gunfire with its occupant. According to FOX 29 Philadelphia, police say the break-in unfolded just before 8 a.m., when the suspects—dressed entirely in black—burst through the front door and confronted a resident who was legally armed.
The resident returned fire. No one was struck, and the intruders fled on foot, heading west along Ludlow Street, investigators said.
