A man was charged in connection to a drug trafficking ring in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood, District Attorney Larry Krasner announced on Monday.
From March 12, 2025, through April 28, 2025, Edgardo Rivera, 35, was observed by police selling drugs, according to investigators. After collecting evidence against Rivera, police obtained and executed a search warrant at a home on the 800 block of West Venango Street. Rivera was then arrested at the scene, according to officials.
Police recovered around $19,000 worth of narcotics, including crack cocaine, cocaine and marijuana from the home, investigators said. Police also said they seized nine firearms from the property, three of which were converted to fully automatic weapons. They also recovered $10,000 in cash, according to investigators.
