A couple accused funeral homes in Philadelphia and Georgia of inadvertently sending them their deceased son’s brain.
Lawrence and Abbey Butler filed a lawsuit against Nix & Nix Funeral Homes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as Southern Cremations & Funerals in Georgia.
According to the lawsuit, the couple’s son, Timothy Garlington, died back on Nov. 15, 2023. While Garlington was from Philadelphia, he lived in Georgia at the time of his death.
