Traffic Stop In Ocean County Leads To Gun, Drug Charges

LAKEHURST – A Philadelphia man was arrested after police found a loaded handgun, ecstasy pills and marijuana during a traffic stop early July 25, authorities said.

Lakehurst Police Officer Gaige Rebmann stopped a 2016 Nissan SUV on Route 70 around 3 a.m. for a maintenance of lamps violation, police said. The driver, identified as Siheed Woods, 34, was searched after an on-scene investigation.

Officers recovered a Ruger .40-caliber handgun with a high-capacity 30-round magazine loaded with hollow-point ammunition, about 50 ecstasy pills and a quantity of marijuana packaged in a manner consistent with distribution, police said…
