PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The getaway driver in the 2022 shooting death of a Philadelphia sanitation worker was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison Thursday.
Authorities say 33-year-old Rasheen Trusty drove Nurshar Scott around the morning of Nov. 18, 2022. Trusty was on the phone, coordinating with someone to locate 35-year-old Philadelphia sanitation worker Ikeem Johnson.
While Johnson drove a garbage truck along its route in the city’s Mayfair section, Scott got out of the car in a face mask near Bleigh and Rowland avenues, stalked Johnson, and shot him while Trusty stayed nearby with the car…
