Off-Duty Police Officer Stabbed During Fight on South 32nd Street in Philadelphia

An off-duty Philadelphia police officer was stabbed around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, during a fight with another man on the 1700 block of South 32nd Street, according to a spokesperson from the Philadelphia Police Department.

Police said the officer and the man got into a physical altercation, during which the officer was stabbed, and both men sustained injuries. Officers transported the injured officer to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

The other man involved in the fight was arrested at the scene and taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment of injuries received during the altercation. His condition was not disclosed, and police have not stated whether he will face any charges…
