A 49-year-old man was shot to death after police said he answered an early morning knock on the door of his North Philadelphia home and someone opened fire. Now the search is on for the shooter.
According to police, the shooting happened just before 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, at a home on 3600 North 9th Street, right off Rising Sun Avenue.
