Where’s Mike Missanelli? Philly sports talk radio host, Bristol native, off the air again

A popular voice has gone missing from the Philadelphia sports radio landscape, as 97.5 The Fanatic parted ways with midday show host Mike Missanelli.

The longtime sports radio personality was the latest in a series of cost-cutting measures by the station’s owner, Beasley Media Group, which let go of Kathy Romano with WMMR’s “The Preston and Steve Show,” WMGK midday host Eric Johnson, and Tyrone Johnson, host of The Fanatic’s “The Best Show Ever?” earlier this year.

In an email the morning of Aug. 11, Heidi Raphael, Beasley’s chief communications officer, confirmed that Missanelli’s last day with the station was Aug. 8…
