BURLINGTON, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Vermont announced Wednesday that a man arrested in Burlington nearly two years ago after a months-long investigation has been sentenced to just under eight years in prison.
Talbert Hill, 44, of Philadelphia, was sentenced to 95 months in prison after pleading guilty to possessing cocaine and fentanyl with intent to distribute.
According to court records, Hill and others were involved in drug-dealing in the Burlington area, and police took Hill into custody after he fled while dropping packages of fentanyl and crack cocaine. Law enforcement found “approximately 16,000” packages of fentanyl in Hill’s bedroom in Burlington, which was described as one of the largest drug seizures by Burlington police at the time.
After his term in prison, Hill will have a 3-year term of supervised release…
