A Philadelphia woman accused of stealing cartons of Newports from two Montgomery County Wawa stores in June is also linked to a string of thefts across three counties, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Mia Ashley Stevenson, 24, of the 1600 block of 68th Avenue, was charged Aug. 8 with felony retail theft — third or subsequent offense — and felony receiving stolen property following an incident June 20 at the Wawa on Skippack Pike in Skippack Township, according to charging documents.
Troopers said Stevenson entered the store around 8:23 p.m., requested four cartons of Newport Menthol 100’s cigarettes valued at $505.62, and walked out without paying. She fled in a dark-colored Nissan Altima driven by Andre Calhoun, investigators said…
