Philadelphia Man Charged With Weapons and Drug Offenses Following Traffic Stop in Edgemoor

A routine traffic stop in Edgemoor led to an arrest and the seizure of an array of illicit items, including a loaded handgun and a prescription pad. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening when detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police were conducting patrols and spotted a traffic violation by a white Nissan Altima, according to a statement on social media from the New Castle County Police.

Upon initiating a stop on Northeast Boulevard at East 27th Street, detectives encountered the driver, identified as 47-year-old Harice Reddick from Philadelphia. The search of Reddick’s vehicle uncovered a charged Ruger 57 handgun, complete with a 20-round magazine, and the means to forge prescriptions: a doctor’s pad alongside a fake stamp for signatures. Investigators also found marijuana, additional concealed weapons, and ammunition.
