11 shot in Labor Day weekend violence

A woman was killed and at least 10 other people were injured in separate shootings over the Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia.

Police said the female victim was discovered with a gunshot wound to her neck at around 9:45 a.m. Saturday in the backyard of a property on the 2500 block of N. Front Street in Kensington.

No arrests were made in the immediate aftermath of the slaying, and officials provided no details about a possible motive. Authorities have not identified the victim. A PPD spokesperson said Monday that no further information was available…
