Frozen vegetables recalled across East Coast for Listeria concerns

NEW YORK (PIX11) — Multiple bags of mixed vegetables have been recalled across the East Coast, including New York, due to potential Listeria contamination, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warned on Thursday.

Endico brand peas and carrots, as well as bags of general mixed vegetables, have been pulled from store shelves in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, Washington D.C. and Florida, after a voluntary recall by the company.

The products were distributed between July 18 and Aug. 4 in frozen 2.5-pound clear bags under the Endico label.

Although no illnesses have been reported in connection with the frozen vegetables, the recall was issued after finished products tested positive for Listeria in Pennsylvania.

Anyone who may have the products is advised to return them to its place of purchase for a refund…
