Five police officers shot in Pennsylvania: report

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (NewsNation) — Multiple law enforcement officers have been shot in Pennsylvania, according to reports.

Up to five police officers were shot while serving a warrant in North Codorus Township, about 115 miles west of Philadelphia, NBC News reported, citing sources. The gunman is believed to be dead and four officers are in grave to critical condition, according to the publication.

A hospital spokesperson confirmed to NewsNation affiliate WHTM that two people were being treated at WellSpan York Hospital after a police incident.

Nearby schools were on lockdown as a precaution and the Consulate of Mexico in Philadelphia said in a social media post that it was “monitoring the incident” in Pennsylvania and issued “a precautionary alert for our community.”…
