The Philadelphia Police Department is offering one of their building’s lobbies as a safe space for residents to buy or sell items from online marketplaces.
The 7th Police District Advisory Council took to social media to make the announcement and explained that there have been problems reported of robberies and assaults as strangers meet to buy or sell goods that were advertised on online marketplaces, like Craig’s List or Facebook Marketplace.
