Legislators Take Center Stage at Philadelphia Medical Cannabis Symposium, Linking Policy with Practice

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Pennsylvania legislative leaders will facilitate a forward-looking discussion on medical cannabis at the Rothman Opioid Foundation’s event titled “Medical Cannabis: What Do We Know & What Do We Not?” on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Bluemle Life Science Building at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, 223 S. 10th St., Philadelphia.

The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and features a policy session with State Senator Amanda M. Cappelletti (17th District), State Representative Chris Rabb (200th District), and State Representative Tarik Khan (194th District). It aims to align legislative priorities with clinical evidence and public health practice through a free, CME-accredited program.

The symposium begins with registration and breakfast at 8:30 a.m., followed by welcome remarks at 8:55 a.m. from chairs Ruth Charbonneau, RN, JD, and Asif Ilyas, MD, MBA.
