Father and son wounded in crossfire on Northeast Philly street

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A father and son are recovering after they were caught in a crossfire in Northeast Philadelphia Sunday night.

Around 6:30 p.m., investigators said the 40-year-old man and 14-year-old boy were outside talking with friends on Vista Street, near Torresdale Avenue, in the city’s Holmesburg section, when two different groups got into a confrontation nearby.

Members of both groups pulled out weapons and started firing at each other, and police said stray bullets hit the father and son…
