Philadelphia man draws prison for robbing Norristown man of cellphone

NORRISTOWN — A Philadelphia man who robbed another man of his cellphone as the victim sat on his front porch in Norristown was sent to prison.

Naquin Namir Mitchell, 24, of the 3900 block of Howland Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 3-to-6-years in a state correctional facility after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of robbery in connection with the June 2025 incident.

Judge William R. Carpenter, who accepted a plea agreement in the case, also ordered Mitchell to complete one year of probation consecutive to parole, meaning Mitchell will be under court supervision for seven years…
