Police have arrested a man in Philadelphia, PA in connection to the murder at a Columbus, GA recreation center.
The incident occurred on August 29, 2025, when officers responded to Shirley B. Winston Recreation Center after reports of a male being shot inside the gym.
The victim, identified as Jacarie Charles, 22, was located with a gunshot wound and pronounced deceased at the scene.
“Surveillance video captured the suspect confronting the victim, attempting to take his belongings, and then shooting him once in the chest,” police said. The suspect then stole items from the victim before fleeing.”…
