3 teens apprehended after shot fired at police in Northeast Philly carjacking

Three teenagers carjacked an SUV in Northeast Philadelphia, led police on a chase, struck a police vehicle and fired a shot at officers before they were arrested in West Philadelphia, investigators said.

According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, the incident unfolded at about 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday when two teens — one carrying a handgun — approached a 66-year-old man as he was pumping gas into his Nissan Rouge at a gas station along the 7200 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.
