Feds Charge Philadelphia Man In Violent Robbery Spree Spanning Two Counties

A Philadelphia man could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted on new federal charges stemming from a string of alleged heists across Delaware and Montgomery counties.

United States Attorney David Metcalf announced a superseding indictment against 45-year-old Donte Samuel Brown this week. Brown now faces multiple felony counts, including two charges of Hobbs Act robbery, one count of bank robbery, and the use of a firearm during a violent crime.

Federal prosecutors say Brown’s alleged crime spree began in the summer of 2024. Authorities accuse him of targeting a Family Dollar store in Delaware County on August 15, 2024.
