Norristown adopts 2026 municipal operating budget with tax increase

NORRISTOWN — Norristown council members unanimously adopted a nearly $47.1 million operating budget and a municipal tax increase for 2026.

The action to authorize the balanced eight-figure budget and increase the millage rate from 18.25 mills to 19 mills passed in a 5-0 vote during a special meeting Monday evening. Council members Jasmine Griffen and Will McCoy were absent.
