Officers were called to a house on the 1900 block of Medary Street in East Germantown just after 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, for a report of an unresponsive man, according to Philadelphia Police Captain Christopher Bradshaw.
Officers arrived to find the man lying on the floor with a dog bite to his ankle, Bradshaw said. Three dogs inside the home had been shot.
