Racially charged threats to Norristown district judge gets woman jail time

NORRISTOWN — An Adams County woman was jailed for sending a threatening and racially charged email to a Black Norristown district court judge after she disagreed with the judge’s bail decision for an Allentown man accused of beating a pregnant woman in Hatfield Township.

Emely Aguilar, 24, of New Oxford, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 3 to 23 months in the county jail on charges of ethnic intimidation and terroristic threats in connection with the April 30, 2025, email she sent to District Court Judge Denise Ashe, who presides in Norristown.
