Man arrested after shooting places South Jersey school on lockdown on Wednesday

A fight between two people in South Jersey resulted in a shooting that was reported near a school on Wednesday, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.

This all started when a man got into a physical altercation with Jasheir Hawkins, 19, at the Woodlake Apartments on the 200 block of North Evergreen Avenue around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, prosecutors said.
